Stationary fuel combustion (GHG)

Greenhouse Gases

Fuel heat input times a per-MMBtu greenhouse gas factor, with CO₂e from the GWP you enter.

Input assumptions

Activity data
MMBtu/hr
hr/yr

8,760 hr/yr for potential to emit unless an enforceable limit applies.

%

Only claim control you can document and enforce.

Emission factor

Use the fuel-specific factor and GWP values required by your reporting program, and cite the table and the version in effect for the reporting year.

kg/MMBtu

Calculation result

Enter heat input, emission factor to see results, or fill demo values to explore.

Calculation methodology

Heat-input method for combustion greenhouse gases. Multiplies heat input by a per-MMBtu factor for the selected gas, converts kilograms to pounds, then (for CH4 and N2O) multiplies by the global warming potential you enter to report CO2e.

E (lb/hr) = Q (MMBtu/hr) × EF (kg/MMBtu) × 2.20462 (lb/kg)
Emission factor
Emission factor: — kg/MMBtu
